Cookies and browser storage: what the guide's page code uses, what stays on your device and what your browser controls.

2026 / Storage notice

What cookies do

Cookies are small values a website can ask your browser to store and return with later requests. Browser storage such as localStorage can also retain values on your device, but works differently from cookies. These technologies can support preferences or, when added for other purposes, measurement and advertising.

Storage in this guide's page code

The static guide's own HTML and JavaScript do not set cookies, write to localStorage or sessionStorage, or include analytics and advertising trackers. Reading the guide, opening the mobile menu and viewing the FAQ disclosures do not require non-essential storage from this page code.

Hosting, security or separately supplied consent services may operate outside the page code. If a consent control is presented by the live website, use that control to review any technologies it identifies and to manage optional permissions. Optional storage requiring consent should not be activated merely because you browse this guide.

The tool does not persist form entries itself. Browsers may independently restore tabs or offer autofill; use browser settings to manage those features.

Browser controls

You can review site data, block cookies and clear stored values through your browser's privacy settings. Clearing site data does not necessarily remove downloaded files, clipboard contents, sent emails or browser autofill records. Manage those separately on your device.

Blocking JavaScript disables the note preparation, copy and download features and the mobile dropdown. The core articles remain readable. Contact can still be made using the visible email address.
